Aktion Club

Welcome to the Brighton Action Club at CP Rochester!

Willow Fleece-Tie Scarf Project

On November 16th and December 14th, The Brighton Aktion Club, with help from the Brighton High School Key Club, the University of Rochester Circle K, and members of Brighton Kiwanis did a special holiday craft project:  They made fleece-tie scarves.  In total, over 60 scarves were tied, and labels affixed to tell the kids at the Willow Domestic Violence Emergency Shelter that the members of the Brighton Aktion Club cared enough to make these scarves!

2017 Single Service Contest Winner:  Aktion Packs!

The Brighton Kiwanis Aktion Club is the New York District Winner for the THIRD year in a row, of the Single Service Award contest, for their tremendous effort in making “Aktion Packs”: They made 15 toddler, 20 young child & 18 elementary age packets that will provide hours of fun and entertainment for children at the Willow Domestic Violence Center emergency shelter. Members made craft puzzles, velcro funny face games, scratch art, & memory card games at meetings throughout year. The Aktion Packs were filled with over 20 coloring pages, mazes, & hidden object worksheets. Finally, each unique Aktion Pack was completed with crayons or colored pencils and a reading book. This entry won 1st place among all Aktion Clubs in the entire New York District, and will compete in October among all Aktion Clubs in NORTH AMERICA!

Congratulations EVERYBODY!
